The help group is a program with different ways to cope with problems, you try a different one as often as you want and try to find one that works for you instead of self injury etc. There are also other types of things to do there.
If you would like to become apart of the advice staff that staff that would be fine, in the advice staff a user could PM you privately about a problem of there's and you would give them your advice and support, if your interested.
